Global too fast? When we identify weakness, we intuitively know we must strengthen. But how much? How much force do we apply? Force is mass times acceleration. Using this fact, a suggestion is to apply incremental loads into tissue complex to stimulate; not aggravate...so the tissue complex incrementally adapts to being loaded. This is especially important after manual therapy and/or stretching as both do NOT strengthen or engage the neural system. This quick video displays bilateral external to internal hip rotation with a STRONG band, the strong band is important to facilitate the deep hip structures. Place the band at various heights, rotate externally, hold for as long as you can and then contract to internally rotate (dont let band internally rotate you). This is a great follow up to mobilization techniques emphasizing the posterior/lateral hip structures. Enjoy the burn :-)
