ReWalk is a robotic exoskeleton that provides powered hip and knee motion to enable someone with a spinal cord injury to stand upright and walk. It provides user-initiated mobility through the integration of a wearable brace support and a computer-based control system which triggers the first step. Repeated body shifting generates a sequence of steps which allows natural and effective walking. The foot and ankle system is designed to provide a heel-toe step which mimics the natural gait pattern of the legs. The ReWalk also sits, stands, and allows turning.
