Glute Bridges are one of the best post-natal exercises you can do - TopicsExpress

Glute Bridges are one of the best post-natal exercises you can do to help strengthen the deep core and pelvic floor muscles. They are a perfect addition to your exercise program, and doing them on a daily basis will help to support the pelvis in a correct position to facilitate optimum pelvic floor function...and thats whats important when it comes to safe and effective exercise practice for mums. Glute Bridges can be modified to suit pregnancy, and you can substitute the real-live baby weight for a free-weight or simply doing them without the added resistance will still be very worthwhile. Make sure you keep the tail bone tucked under by tilting the pelvis and squeezing the glutes, whilst drawing the belly button IN, and NOT allowing the lower back to engage. This video exercise tip is a demo taken from my new e-book: The Baby as Your Weight Workout, which is on sale now via the website.
