Glynn County Board of Education proposes property tax increase The Glynn County Board of Education has announced its intention to increase the property taxes it will levy this year by 6.57 percent over the prior year millage rate. All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearings on this tax increase to be held at the Glynn County School System Administration Building, 1313 Egmont Street, Brunswick, Ga., on Thursday, July 18 at 9 a.m. and 6 p.m., and on Thursday, July 25 at 9 a.m. Following the third and final public hearing, the Glynn County Board of Education will hold a Special-called Board Meeting on Thursday, July 25 at 10 a.m. to adopt the 2013 millage rate.
