Go Grandriders is an inspiring film that charts the journey of seventeen Taiwanese senior citizens (most of whom are in their eighties) as they hit the road on what seems to be an impossible endeavour: a 13-day motorcycle adventure around the country. Bent on proving that age is just a number, these ‘Grand Riders’ break through all the roadblocks – sometimes quite literally – in the pursuit to cross the finish line. The film will be screened on Wednesday 9th October at : 1.30 - 3.30pm, Rye Civic Hall, Nelson St Rye, AND 6.30 - 8.30pm, Council Chambers, Mornington Peninsula Shire, 2 Queen St. Mornington Go Grandriders is hosted by the MPS Social Planning and Community Development team in partnership with the Human Rights Arts and Film Festival, and will be introduced by Jeanette Lane, an executive member of the Mornington Peninsula Advisory Committee for Elders.
