Go and Tell - Luke 8:38-39 The man that Jesus healed begged to go with Jesus. But Jesus sent the man away, saying, Go back home and tell people what God did for you. So the man went all over town telling what Jesus had done for him. And the people were amazed. Never Give Up Group in York We meet together to help the homeless, vulnerable, disadvantaged. Reaching them through a meal on a Thursday afternoon, this then gives us the opportunity to talk about God and pray with people. In addition befriending and advising on local services. We have over the past few months shared the love and Good News of Jesus from a safe environment, in a new fresh way, with growing success. This week as an opening to the Message about Jesus asking the disciples “But who do you say I am” (Mark 8:29) four men Jon, Gregg, Gavin and Neil each in a couple of sentences replied to that question. “And the people were amazed” because each one of them spoke with passion about a real person, who was their rescuer, helper, healer and friend. They revealed the reality of God in their lives. Collectively they testified to the truth that Our God Saves. Do you know that God loves you and wants to have a relationship with you? Are you fed up, going round and round, no hope, no purpose, no life? We would love to share a meal with you and the Good News of Jesus. We meet every Thursday at 4pm at the Belfry Hall in Stonegate, York. Don’t give up because we never do and Jesus certainly doesn’t.
