Go gold!!! Yes I am a cancer mom, no that does NOT define me! Yes, my babygirl HAD cancer (I say had cause were not letting that mfr back) That does not define her! She is a child like any other child, she laughs, she plays, she cries, she throws tantrums (big ones lol) she is strong and wiser beyond her years because of all of this! She is my pride and joy! Without her I really wouldnt be much. We are coming upon 1 year of her diagnosis. Ironic that shed be diagnosed in September which is childhood cancer awareness month. :( the feelings are strong...Ive asked why many many times, but...there is no why...it just happens regardless if that....Im fortunate enough to still have my baby, to hold her and kiss her every single night and for that I am grateful! Some parents cannot say that, and for that reason I want to help spread awareness....we NEED to find a cure!! No parent should ever have to feel helpless for their child, our children are the one thing we are supposed to be able to protect from anything! Go gold! For Kira, for the friends weve made along the way fighting the same battle! For all the other kids and families fighting to keep their babies just a little bit longer! Go gold! 💛
