Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; - TopicsExpress

Go, my people, enter your rooms and shut the doors behind you; hide yourselves for a little while until his wrath has passed by. See, the LORD is coming out of his dwelling to punish the people of the earth for their sins. The earth will disclose the blood shed on it; the earth will conceal its slain no longer. Isaiah 26:20-21 (NIV) Isaiah is again returning to the theme of the Great Tribulation and exhorts the believers to flee to the Lord, their secret chamber for refuge. When God comes to judge the earth, the guilty will find no place to hide. Jesus said that the hidden will be made known because His truth, like a light shining in a dark corner will reveal it. Matthew 10:26: “So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.” Instead of trying to hide your shameful thoughts and actions from God, confess them to Him to receive His forgiveness. 1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” Once we have confessed our sins we have taken Christ as our refuge from the judgments to come. We have promised God’s divine protection in the day of trouble. Psalm 27:5: “For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.” As believers we must trust God to fulfill His promise of deliverance through the Great Tribulation and the storms of life. We need to quit thinking we can do it on our own and put our lives in His control in everything we do.
