Goal Setting… My Grandfather taught me early in life to set - TopicsExpress

Goal Setting… My Grandfather taught me early in life to set and etch very sharp, clearly defined goals; that can be easily measured and to take pride in the achievement of those goals. He said, “This should be your never ending road map for both personal and business success. Read it often and use this road map to stay focused, maintain momentum, desire, energy, passion and purpose.” As I got older and my goals much more defined, I have come to realize that this was one of the most precious inheritances I could have every received. Goal setting has given my life direction, a sense of purpose, assisted in controlling my future, keeps me focused on what is important, increased my motivation and self-confidence, allowed me to see faster results, taught me to make better use of my time and helped me be an overall more positive person. With this being said, most of you that truly know me understand how goal orientated, focused, dedicated and determined I am when I put my mind to accomplishing a particular mission. I methodically prioritize my daily routines in order to accomplish everything at hand and let nothing stand in my way; nor will I allow anything to be neglected or overlooked! I have realized that our minds are the most powerful tool and once we can learn to harness that power, we can overcome every obstacle. Today Montanari Bros. Powerhouse Gym along with National Physique Committee officially announced that The First Show of the Season will be held on March 28, 2015. I have been thinking about this show since the 2014 NPC Montanari Bros. Powerhouse East Coast Cup Competition and was enthusiastically looking to compete. However, I have committed to an amazing event for a worthwhile cause. On Friday, March 6th, 2015 at the Omni Ballroom in New Haven, I will be participating along with six other local business owners and competitors in the 6th Annual Dancing Under the Stars benefiting the Ronald McDonald House of CT. It would be nearly impossible to train for both events that are so close together. So, I will focus my energy and purpose to the Dancing Under the Stars event and will not be competing in the NPC bodybuilding competition in March. I will maintain my diet, training and fitness throughout this time and hopefully will participate in a competition in 2015. My professional dance partner for this event is Linda Gergye Pro. She is an amazing woman! Extremely enthusiastic and her passion for dance and teaching is contagious. Dancing as we know can be very intimidating and after our introduction she has made it very comfortable. I have come to realize that at times you will experience moments of insecurity and self-doubt, but with a trusting and supportive partner trust soon develops and everything begins to fall into place. I look forward to our competition on Friday, March 6th.
