God Bless America. This weekend we show appreciation to those heroes who have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Larry and I want to give thanks to all of our war veterans and those currently serving. I will be wearing my poppy proudly. My dad, now deceased, was a very young GI in WWII, and Larrys dad served in Korea. We have 2 nephews who have done active duty in Iraq, and Larrys brother, although, not during wartime, was enlisted in the army. I have had many Uncles who have actually served during wartime. My family, along with many American families at the time, had lost a close relative during WWII. Freedom, something we are so accustomed to in this country, something we must cherish and never take for granted is precious, for many lives have been lost defending our freedom.
