God Bless our Blues brothers, Sam Green & Michael Coleman! Southside Alex is carrying on Michaels legacy and taking Michaels main guitar on tour this month to pay tribute to his mentor & teacher - a wonderful man and a great friend. Coleman was the band leader for James Cotton for many years and also toured around the world with many famous Chicago bluesmen. God bless Michael Coleman. My music-man bass havent been played out on tour for many years. Sam Green was the last person to play it one night in Chicago at the famous Kingston Mines - the same night Rick James came out to hang out after his show at the House of Blues. Sam sat in and played the HELL out my bass that night; even Rick James asked me,Who the HELL was that cat playing bass? I replied,Thats my BOYYY Sam Green from Chicago. After the show we all hung out. Rick James signed my bass and I havent played it since. This week, Im taking my music-man bass out on my HEAVEN KNOWS TOUR to pay my respects to Sam Green, Nick Charles, and Michael Coleman. God bless my Blues family! Love, Biscuit Miller
