God Day All, I just read a disturbing article that, my brother, Warren Bailey posted regarding terrorist considering using the Ebola virus as a bio-weapon. It reminded me of an interview with Our Beloved Sri Sathya Sai Baba, in which I attempted to ask questions about the problems in our world. Swami, reassured me that Everything is in my hand. It, also, made me revisit the reason that The Divine incarnates on earth; to help raise the level of mans/humankinds consciousness. Sister Nita Sairam Parmar, recently, quoted part of a discourse in which Swami explains the purpose of an Avatar (A Divine Incarnation in human form): God is not a separate entity. Man is the image of God. Scriptures declare, God appears in human form (Daivam maanusha rupena). Though God has no separate form, Avatars descend from time to time to show how human lives can be divinised. However, we also have to do our part. The level of humankinds consciousness must be raised. Also, people should tune into, and heed the words of their conscience, which I believe to be the source of the universe/God speaking to you. We will, either, learn to live together, or we will die together. The rage, hatred, intolerance, and insensitivity must end, or we are all doomed. As always, an appropriate song came to mind. A song which exhorts us to listen to our conscience, the voice of God within, because Maybe God Is Trying To Tell You Something. The scene, and song, are from the movie, The Color Purple. It is a beautiful scene in which some of the characters, metaphorically, change focus, and begin to listen to what God is trying to tell them. This is for everyone but, again, tags are limited.
