God Is Your Shield II “After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.” Genesis 15:1 In a time like this when the people in government all over the world are confused, a time when we are seeing inconsistencies in government policies like no other, you need to know and be assured that God has your back. Today we live in a time when the best democracies are failing, forecasts are failing and man no longer has the answer. Even the economies that seemed to have it all together can no longer explain the tide. Professionals seem to be saying like the magicians of Pharaoh, this is the finger of God. Child of God, more than any other time in the history of man do we need God as our shield. I want to assure you, if you are in Christ, don’t ever think that God is not thinking of you, and don’t ever think He has abandoned you. He says I Hebrews 13:5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for He hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me”. As a matter of fact, God has surrounded and shielded you that is why you are still alive. I know some of you are waiting for things to get better. No it won’t. As a matter of fact, it will get darker and darker in the world but God commands His children to arise and shine in a world full of darkness. Let the light God has put inside of you shine. It is time to begin to shine. You are carrying the solution for the world. It is not going to get better in the world. However, because you are the solution provider, kings and princes will gravitate towards you. Have you forgotten that every man shall kiss the lips of him that has the answer (Prov. 24:26)? Just like God said to Abram when he turned away from the spoils of war, He is saying to you today. He is not only your shield but He is your exceeding great reward. If it seems as if you are going without because you have walked the path of integrity, if it seems as if the world is beating you to it in everything, if it seems they are taking your position and you are losing out, child of God, don’t panic. God says He is your exceeding great reward. He already knew all things. God is committed to blessing you and you will be blessed.
