God Knows Our Hearts - (1st Corinthians 2:10-11) Bible Verses But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Reading Notes Spiritual wisdom comes from God and thats what Paul is speaking about here. True wisdom comes from God and from His word as revealed to us by the Holy Spirit. However Gods wisdom is not fully available to us without the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and a relationship with God. And only a relationship with Jesus can restore our relationship with God, remove our sin and bring the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. As followers of Christ we should understand we are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus our Lord. And secondly God knows our hearts. God wants a relationship with us and not our works. And as these passages clarify for us God is looking at our hearts. We cannot fully understand Gods ways. Moreover the Bible tells us His ways are not our ways and that His thoughts toward us are of love and peace. Its the Holy Spirit who truly knows what lies at the core of our hearts. And its the Holy Spirit who aids us in our relationship with God the Father. God has given us the revelation of His word along with the Holy Spirit to guide us because of our faith in Jesus. Therefore we are to walk by faith, not by works, through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and Gods word, this is what brings true wisdom. Because Gods word reveals His plan of redemption for all of mankind. dailybibleonline
