God Occasionally Says Not Yet If you are discouraged or disappointed because He hasnt answered your prayers, realize that a delay doesnt mean a denial. Although the solution or miracle you want or need hasnt come true yet, doesnt mean our Father wont respond, has forgotten you, or that He doesnt care about your situation. It merely means not now. Growing with God helps you in understanding the difference between no or denial, and not now or postponement. Our Fathers postponement is simply a test of patience. Everyone can be patient once, or twice, but the Wonderful Counselor tests our patient multiple times. Why? So youll realize what your made of and understand your level of commitment or persistence. If youre going through tough times now, youre undoubtedly discouraged to the point where its not manageable, not bearable, and seems unfair. You may be thinking, God, I cant take this anymore. I cant endure. Realize, you CAN because God is constantly at your side. He is the One who enables you to keep going. Its not your doing, but Gods grace that sustains you. Understand that you are never a failure until you quit. Press on, as difficult as it may be, and finish the race our Father has presented to you. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. - Hebrews 10:36-37
