God bless Thomas Hoefling! No compromise! For years I wondered what would happen if a truly pro-life candidate ran for office and actually refused to accept the compromise of some right to life organizations. We saw in Georgia and now we see in Iowa what happens - the National Right to Life Committee and their affiliates that follow their compromise favor their political strategy over the sanctity of life they claim to fight for. Just as the NRLC opposed the Georgia RTL and Congressman Paul Broun’s bid for U.S. Senate, so the Iowa RTL opposes Hoefling. Why? Because they are uncompromisingly pro-life. How absurd! These so-called “right to life” organizations abandon faith in God and belief in his sovereignty and providence, settling for a desperate serving of crumbs from the table by thinking that protection of all humans equally is out of reach. Then, with their strategy of compromise so deeply settled into their skin they reject those who demonstrate the kind of commitment to the unborn they think is impossible to find.
