God called Abraham from his fathers house in Genesis 12 :1-3 and - TopicsExpress

God called Abraham from his fathers house in Genesis 12 :1-3 and promised to bless him and said through him all nation of the world shall be blessed.Abraham begat Isaac and Isaac Jacob who was later was named Isreal from whom the 12 tribes evolved. God covenant originally was with Abraham and because God promised he would have a child at his old age, he believed God despite all odds and God counted him faithful and called him his friend. At the appointed time God deemed fit He kept his promise and the promised child was born. As mere human we should always have it at the back of our mind that when God decides to do something it is best known to Him why He wants it to be done, the reason He wants it done and the things He wants to reveal as a result of such thing being done. The more reason for us to know that nothing on this earth happened by chance but for a reason. If Isreal today is called chosen people of God it is not to say God honors them and prefer them to other children of His that He created in His own image and likeness but rather He prefers to use them as a case study to reveal to the world that there is a Supernatural Being that is invisible and Omnipotent, Omniscience. Omnipresent and controls the affairs of man. His demonstration of this during the Israelites sojourn in Egypt and their journey through the wilderness to the promised land is a biblical account of His Character to show other nation of the world that whoever He decide to pick from the lot and He is on their side and He shepherd and guides will always be on the winning side and a no go area for the enemy (enemies)to toy with. If God decides to choose Isreal from the lots they were just being so fortunate. God could have well chosen any other nation and we must take note that it was Abraham God made a covenant with and not Isreal. Isreals i.e Jacobs children (12 tribes later known as Isrealites )were just being fortunate because they were the seeds of Abraham. Abraham being the patriarch. The same generation that was brought out of Egypt never reached the promised land due to sin, murmuring, complaints, unbelief but their succeeding generation. The New Law (The Modern Abraham in the person of Jesus) later brought salvation to all as a result of Isreal unbelief making us all joint heir with the Abrahamic covenant through Christ Blood and redemption that brought salvation to all nations of the earth. As a result these blessings is no longer limited to Isreal but free for all in as much we believe in Jesus Christ, the reason why he came to this world, his blood that was shed on calvary, the significance and potency of that blood that had redeemed and brought salvation to all. We are all now equal before God as a result of the salvation that was brought to all at no price but was costly in the sight of God and had made heaven to go bankrupt. The more reason we can not boast of this because God considered us and not we ourselves. Not by our good works or achievement but rather by Gods mercy and grace. The old law had been converted to new even though if we God could open our spiritual eyes to see their corrolation we could see same semblance in another dimension. The more reason Jesus said he had not come to destroy the old law but rather to make it easier for us because the old law was man made but the new by God Himself. He therefore came down in person to dwell among us to teach us about basic principles of life through practical demonstrations and parables to make us live a life worthy of purpose that we may have abundant life and peace that the world cannot give and more so to avoid what happened to our fore fathers in the wilderness as a result of sin. Unfortunately those who he came to live with to guide them into this life and peace rejected him and killed him just as they did the prophets in the old testament. Since then salvation had been extended to all by his death and ascention and the Holy Spirit available to those ready to receive Him which had birth the beginning of the Household of God ( the Church) and since then the Church has been marching on and the gate of hell had never and will never prevail in Jesuss name, Amen.
