God cannot lie. If He promised to do a thing for you, it will come - TopicsExpress

God cannot lie. If He promised to do a thing for you, it will come to pass. What we have to understand is that the promises of God are conditional, just like every other blessing. Sure, we get blessings at times when we really dont deserve them, but that is because God is merciful, and He rains down on the unjust as well as the just. (Matthew 5:45) But to have a life where consistent blessings are flowing, we must meet His conditions. Look at II Peter 1:4..... Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (KJV) Essentially, this verse is saying that the promise is not the desired end. To us, we believe that God has accomplished what He set out to do when He finally fulfills whatever promise He gave to us. But what God is wanting to accomplish for you is to make you a partaker of His divine nature. So the promise is not the end result...His divine nature within us is. You partake of the divine nature as you meet the conditions of the promise. In order to have the promise, you usually have to be righteous, live holy, exhibit faith, stay prayerful, and believe ( depend on, adhere to, and trust in God). These are divine attributes and behaviors. So if you want to know how close you are to your promise being fulfilled.....ask yourself, How much have I been changing lately? Is Gods divine nature being birthed within you in ever increasing glories. (From glory to glory we are changed -II Corinthians 3:18) Meet the condition, and youll meet your promise. God is faithful.
