God doesnt change. Gods word doesnt change. I can agree with both statements. However WE DO change. Over time the body of knowledge increases and builds on the advancements and discoveries of those that came before us. With an increase in the wealth of information available to us we are able to interpret the world around us with more accuracy. If you get diagnosed with Leprosy would you seek treatment from medical manual written in 1750 when they had no cure and just bathed you in herbs and waited for you to die or from one written in 2014 with a drug protocol that has been developed after centuries of research that will cure it? The old manual is important but because of advancements in the overall body of knowledge parts of it are obsolete. Would you insist on using that 1750 manual to identify Tourettes syndrome? Would you twist, change, and ignore current symptoms in order to force it to fit the limited body of knowledge of 300 yrs ago? The same applies to the Bible. For those who are prepared to regurgitate their spiel, think about things youve done in the last year. Now how many of those things would you have been stoned, beheaded, chopped up, or otherwise Smote for? Exactly! Be thankful for the process of building knowledge and the ability to apply it ......or Gather your rocks and get ready!
