God has given me such a strong circle of high ranking leaders in the corporate/ministry aspect of life. My bosses on my 8-5 are Sr. Vice Presidents but also pastors and elders. I am the executive assistant for a Sr. VP (founder of JMMLC) who is also an elder and called to pastor. Well today I went down to my bosss office, who is a pastor, for a meeting to set up his travel. That never turns out well. lol...And he saw the look on my face and it was time for one of those talks. I began to share with him the fear of my next shift in ministry. He said, Melissa the Church is so religious and traditional. We preach messages about David slaying Goliath. And we rare back and tell the people Come on lets slay the giants in our lives...say yeaaahhh!!! But he said David only used those 5 stones for a moment and then he became King. How many giants was David slaying once he became King? The Church is stuck in the STONE-AGE! Once you become King you dont have to throw stones you simply speak it and its done! He closed with You are cut from a different cloth and things can no longer remain the same. Melissa help the Church get out of the StoneAge. Love my boss!
