God has truly sent showers of blessings upon my family over the past two days. The outpouring of love from friends and loved ones has been nothing short of amazing. Dads service today was such a beautiful celebration of his life. Hundreds upon hundreds of people have gone out of their way to reach out to us and honor dad by coming to his visitation yesterday, attending the funeral today, sending well-wishes on FB, encouraging and consoling us via phone calls and texts, taking the time to write cards, coming by the hospital to visit dad during his illness, sending food, flowers, and gifts, thinking of us because you knew we were hurting, and praying for us during this very difficult time. No matter how big or small you may think your part has been, everything has worked together to prop us up, put wind in our sails, and restore us in our darkest hour. God used each and every one of you to be a soothing balm for our hurting family. Thank you seem so inadequate in trying to express the depth of gratitude we owe to each of you, yet that is all we are left with. Thank You!!! Please know that your actions, your thoughts, and your prayers will continue to warm our hearts and lift our spirits during the days, weeks, months, and years to come as we look back on these events and move forward in our lives.
