God is Great! I experienced something today that took me back a little. I was not offended just a little shocked by what I was told. I went into one of the businesses that was selling the Shades of Grey Florida Cracker Horses calendars. I purchased a few items for me and my kids when I noticed one of the calendars had been taken down from display. It was previously right next to the cash register where everyone could see it. I was very proud of this because to me it is more than a time piece for daily activity, it is photographic art depicting Gods glorious creations. I asked the clerk why was it no longer on display. Her reply to me was the owner loved the photographs but he did not want to sell them because they contained scriptures from the Bible. I respect that everyone has different beliefs. The scriptures that are quoted reference the horse and are not proselytizing. The scriptures are very poetic in nature and I venture to say if the book and verse were not placed next to the photographs he would not have known they were Biblical in nature. This fellows store is a quality business that displays a lot of Florida Cracker culture material. I have always enjoyed patronizing this business for that reason. I will continue to shop there. I will also pray that he will someday realize the reason for our culture and natural beauty is from the hand of God. If I did not sell one calendar I would never place my appreciation for what the good Lord has done for me to the rear of a business decision. I choose to put him in the front of that one.
