God is for you not against you! 16 Oct 2013 John 5:8-11 Jesus told him, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and walk!” Instantly, the man was healed! He rolled up his sleeping mat and began walking! But this miracle happened on the Sabbath, so the Jewish leaders objected. They said to the man who was cured, “You can’t work on the Sabbath! The law doesn’t allow you to carry that sleeping mat!” But he replied, “The man who healed me told me, ‘Pick up your mat and walk. ’” Read John 5 from verse one to get the whole picture. To me this is evidence that not everybody wants to see you healed. He had no one to lift him in the water, where were those that could walk?, why were they not there to put him in the water?. But Praise God, He is on our side to help us, deliver us and restore us. He is all for you and I. The Jewish leaders were all about the law, no regard for the man. They had opportunity to rejoice with this man but instead they condemned him with the law. Jesus is all about people, He never counts any one out. Draw strength from Him, dont look to man for help, support or favor. May God be your help, support and favor, yes, He will send people to help you and support you but those people will not control or manipulate you, they will come and bless you through Jesus.
