God is in control... weve know that throughout this whole journey. Tonight, we have to be reminded of that. Weve had a very abrupt change considering the transplant is less than 36 hours from now. As part of the final steps of prepping for the transplant, there is always a final cross match done to make sure none of the antigens or rejection antibodies have changed that would jeopardize the transplanted kidney. There was a chance that that it would come back positive (bad), which it did tonight. After the transplant team interpreted the data, and discussed a path forward today, the decision was made to delay the transplant a minimum of two months. Important note: Nothing has changed in the compatability between Andrew and Anna as far as the kidney goes. This is/was probably a result of the staph infection Anna got in June (the one that stopped us from going to the wedding) and leftover antibodies from fighting off that infection. So now - we will gather our senses..... and all of the stuff that we brought over to our new temporary residence (thank you Janae and Tyler Kopet), and head back to Spokane. Its very disappointing, but as Anna told Andrew, its all in Gods hands and His timing. His timing is best. Thank you all for your continued support and prayer for both Anna and Andrew and the whole Copley family. Times like this - we really need it. Annas best reaction (after the initial shock and disappointment)?? Yay!!!!! I can do band camp!! Oh, that Anna! We smile and love her so much!
