God is just so merciful and really does answer prayer. Yesterday a local fencing contractor put a fencing strainer (the big round end posts) through our main water supply, a 3 inch cast iron pipe carrying a tremendous volume of water from the top of the hill. We diverted the water out of the holding tank onto the fields so that why could inspect and repair the pipe. At the time they were helpless as they had no diggers to dig up the pipe, or to empty the water out of the hole. Being a old cast pipe they also had no way of knowing how much damage they did to it, as it could be cracked for some considerable distance. The local drainage contractor who knows mostly where all the pipes run, have all the equipment and experience to aid in solving this problem was out of reach. We currently have Breaking Through to Freedom running, our busiest time of the year, with a full to overflowing house, no drinking water and no way of flushing the toilets, this could have turned into a very serious incident. We started by cleared out Tesco and Asda of value range spring water so we could have drinking water and 15 packs of baby wipes to clean hands an faces at appropriate times. Who knows what the checkout lady must have though. What were we up to with 100lts of water and 15 packs of wipes? After rallying the prayer support, the contractor was tracked down, the hole dug, the material sourced, the problem exposed and the hole fixed. All within a few hours, the water was running again. It is amazing how God does supply, not only enough but more than you need. The farmer whose land it is, went to buy the pipe, arrived 2 min before the shop shut and bought all the pipe they in the the correct diameter, about 7 foot in total, which turns out to be about 6 inches more than we needed to fix the broken section. God provides in amazing ways always more than you need, in his time (usually last minute), but in such a way that you have to completely depend on him.
