God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. - TopicsExpress

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah. (Ps. 46:1-3) It is so easy to fall into worry - especially with all that is happening in the world right now. Add to this our own daily concerns and things can become a bit overwhelming. When this happens to me, I pray. I ask God plainly, whats going on? What do you want me to do? Ive got this issue and that one and what about...? You get the picture. After prayer, I go to His Word. I have an app on my phone called Olive Tree Bible Study. I opened the app this morning after voicing my concerns to God. I went to the area where you can select a book of the Bible. I chose Psalms and the chapter list came up. At this point, I closed my eyes and I asked God to answer my questions I had just asked Him. With eyes closed, I randomly selected a chapter in Psalms and the above is what popped up. Coincidence? No. Its happened so many times to me in this same manner that I know God hears and answers me. Psalm 46 is exactly what I needed to calm the anxiousness I was feeling due to some pressing issues.
