God is patient and merciful however does he still judge for sin? - TopicsExpress

God is patient and merciful however does he still judge for sin? Here is a prophetic word the Holy Spirit gave me. I was meditating on repentance and the spirit of God began to speak to my heart. He said that he gives time to repent before he eventually brings judgement. Immediately David and Bathsheba came to mind. The Holy Spirit impressed on me that judgment did not come to David immediately after he had Uriah murdered to cover up bathshebas pregnancy. when God sent Nathan the prophet to pronounce judgment the baby was already born which takes 9 months. We know that because part of the judgment was that God struck the baby with sickness and it died. Notice David was not humble enough to repent until after the sin was revealed by Nathan the prophet. This means that David had ignored conviction for over 9 months. This was a window of time that God gave him to repent possibly with a less sever judgment. Davids judgment was very sever. I believe its because he refused to repent. Im prophesying to you today not to be deceived into thinking that sin has no consequence. God is by his mercy giving you a window of time to repent if you have not saw consequence. If you continue he will eventually after patiently waiting bring a judgment because he chastens those he loves. He does it to keep us from going totally astray.
