God loves a CHEERFUL giver. This, from Rabbi Daniel - TopicsExpress

God loves a CHEERFUL giver. This, from Rabbi Daniel Lapin: Qestion: I saw you on Daystar and was absolutely fascinated with a phrase you mentioned; The Hebrew word for Tithe is the same for Wealth or the Road to Wealth Could you please share what that word is? Thank you!!! ∼ Teri D. Dear Teri, Answer: I have always enjoyed my visits to do shows at Daystar Television. You are referring to my explanation about the Hebrew word for wealth, which is “osher.” In Hebrew, one letter has both the “sh” and “s” sound, depending on its usage. In addition, vowels are not written into words themselves and are secondary. The word for ten or a tithe is “Eser.” Each of these words, “osher” and “eser” look identical when written in Hebrew. A tenth of what we earn actually is not ours to keep. One point of the words being the same is that by giving away that one tenth that is not ours to begin with, we stimulate our ability to make still more money, thereby attaining wealth. Actually, we have a complete chapter in our book Buried Treasure: Secrets for Living from the Lord’s Language on this word. One of the many concepts we discuss that spring from the Hebrew is that anyone who rigidly clings to his money betrays a lack of confidence that his wealth can grow. Thus, he clutches it tightly as it is not replaceable. Someone who is generous and happily tithes understands that money can be made—it is not a limited commodity. Our beliefs, thoughts and judgments about money truly impact our ability to earn it. Wishing you osher, Rabbi Daniel and Susan Lapin
