God never ceases to amaze me!!!! I left Stevenson Alabama after loading my broken down equipment into Liberty Baptist Church of Dalton, GAs trailer after the service at First Baptist I looked back at what was left of my trailer that has pulled my stuff around for over ten years, got in my truck and as I was driving away began to cry. Thankful that I am not hurt, but really trying to see what God is doing in all of this and just got overcome with emotions. I drove down the road and prayed and felt His peace surround me.I was making sure everything was covered at my church for the evening and then I then remembered that I still needed to go and meet a man for a fence sell. That was why I got lost in Alabama in the first place of Friday. So I called and got directions instead of trusting my GPS again. When I arrived at his house, it was in the country, way back in the country, I was met by him and the two most beautiful girls, 2 and 3 years old. He is a minister also so we began to talk. I told him about my wreck trying to find him Friday and about Gods providential protection over me. I told him I was kind of bummed for everything that I had lost. I whined about my headache that ive had since the accident and how sore my body was. It was there when God really humbled me and let me see a real story of grace when he told me about his wifes accident with a gun the year before that took her life and left this precious man to care for these two beautiful blue eyed girls that were playing on the trampoline beside us that were jumping with joy like they owned the whole world. My situation no longer seemed to hold any water because there in that moment I saw a real pain that will probably never go away. Then I saw him over the next hour as we visited, be a dad and a mom, and do it with his whole heart, with love and patience. I was broken that I couldnt give him the fence he so desperately needs for his daughters. He had sold his bee hives so he could make sure they would have a safe yard to play in. I saw the picture of an overcomer, a provider, who looks at the important things in his life as priority. Can I tell you, my head and my body dont hurt as much as they did before I got to his house. When you look at real pain and see Gods grace being more than sufficient to him, you will forget bumps and bruises. Thank all of you for your prayers. It means so much to have so many friends who care. Can I ask you for one more thing? Will you lift up my new friend and his girls? That God would provide everything they might need in the coming years and use their story to bring glory to the name of Jesus. I thank you once again and consider myself blessed that any of you would even take the time to read about the things that God allows me to see along the journey of life. God bless and good night!!!
