God once said talking about this song... He composed this song when he was not even married! An English lady who knew western classical wanted to play in his band after hearing about him. He gave her a carnatic classical tune. After playing the tune, she refused to accept the salary :)! She said it is very difficult tune, did not play to the satisfaction and hence not accepting salary! He was shocked to see her dedication and passion towards music! GOD said it is an example of how difficult our classical music is as compared to western classical! His predecessors told him it seems that if one has strong foundation in carnatic classical, he/she can play any kinda music!
