“God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day” (Genesis 1:31). Everything that God has made is good- therefore, we can infer that since God has made us, we are good, too. Yes, some of us make bad choices- choosing to follow the evil one instead of God; and because of this, we invite sin into our lives. Yet, through Christ Jesus who has come for all of us- no matter what we had done, are doing, or will do- we are forgiven. With what we do with this forgiveness is up to us. We can, as John the Baptist had told us, repent: or we can choose to continue on the path we had always been. God, although He is our Father, He loves us, and longs for our happiness (not only in this world but for all of eternity) does not force us to do anything. Lord Jesus, I pray You will be a constant reminder of all the good in the world- that even the wicked people who are living in darkness will not be exempt from Your loving guidance, kindness, grace, and love. I pray that all of us who are just existing will finally have “enough” and fully surrender to You and Your will for our lives. Amen.
