God says in Exodus 34:14: “for you shall worship no other god, for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.’ This is based on a previous command of false worship in Exodus 20:4-5: “You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not BOW DOWN to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me.” The devil said to Jesus in his temptation Matt 4:9 And he said to Him, “All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me.” v.10 Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only you shall serve.“ ....................................................................................................................... Philippians 2:9....... the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth..... Worship means “reverence paid to a divine being.” If Jesus was offered and accepted worship, then by doing so He was confirming His divinity. In none of these instances do we see Jesus telling those worshiping Him to stop, as did mere men, and even angels, who were being worshiped wrongly by others (Acts 10:25–26; Revelation 19:9–10). We are commanded to worship no one or anything but God alone. But Jesus is clearly worshipped throughout scripture and no one is ever corrected by Him. Either they are one, where when you worship Jesus, you are also worshipping God, or He is allowing Himself to be wrongfully worshiped.
