God today I pray for the City of Paterson. As we have begun the electoral process please let peace prevail. Let us not succumb to evil plots, violence, and mean spirited actions or words on this day. May your will be done and may the ultimate voice of the people be in line with your Sovereign will for the city. Ultimately on tomorrow may we begin the work towards becoming united as a people and determined to make our city safe, clean, prosperous and healthy again. MORE THAN ANYTHING I pray for all churches in the city. May we take SERIOUSLY our role to be the light and salt of the city. Regardless of size, race, gender, or denomination may we be committed to more than buildings and events, but may every church be committed to making disciples and renewing our community through ministry that makes a difference! Give us vision and provision to bring to pass your will for this city through relevant and responsible ministry. In Jesus name, Amen.
