Gods Daily Touch Are You Also A Liar? 1 John 2:3-4 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. It is amazing how lying has become so common today. Some of us lie to the extent that we even lie to ourselves about our relationship with God. God wants us to know that if we go about confessing that we know Him, yet do not keep His commandments, then we are liars. Apostle John informed the Church that the true evidence that we know Jesus Christ is we keeping His commandments. Liars cover their ill deeds with deceitful words. The question is, are you also a liar? This reminds me of an audio clip which protrayed a man lying before the throne of God that he once accepted Jesus as his Lord and saviour. The whole heavenly host replied- LIAR. It may sound funny but some of us, for all you know, may be having this testimony. I have come to realise that God appreciates our sincerity very much. That is why He focuses on our heart and motives with which we do things (1Sam. 16:7). Let us show our love to Jesus by keeping His commandment for us. His yoke is lighter and easier to carry (Matt. 11:28-30), if only we will trust the Holy Spirit for strength and grace. It is true that the world we find ourselves in is full of compromises, but let us stand out so that the world around us will know that the truth is in us. We might have compromised before but its never too late to right the wrong. Today, I want to encourage you; if we confess that we know Jesus Christ and have a covenant relationship with Him, then we have to keep His commandments.
