Gods EXTRA button .................................................................. Wouldnt life be great if we had the Pause, Fast Forward and Rewind buttons ....... instead of just the Play and Stop ones ? Pause would be great for those times in life when we just need some extra time to consider what we are doing before doing it .... or maybe to make a wonderful moment last just a bit longer ..... Fast Forward ...... would work well for those times we just wish were over or maybe those times when heartache comes. You know the ones? When they say that time heals all wounds. How great it would be to fast forward through those ?? Rewind ...... oh how I wish I could go back. ..... to say the things I wish I had said ... take back the things I wish I hadnt said ...... do what I wish I had done and NOT do what I wish I hadnt. But life isnt like that. We only have the Play and the Stop buttons ........... THANKFULLY though, as a child of God, I have Jesus in my heart and the Holy Spirit to guide me through this life. I cant Fast Forward but he does give me the grace to endure and the strength to persevere through those times in life when my heart is heavy. While I also cant Pause this life either he did give me the gift of eternal life .... the greatest Pause of all. And no we cant Rewind ... sadly. What we have said, what we have done and the life we have lived are all now what makes us who we are. Yet we can use those experiences to help others and warn them of the pitfalls. SSSSsssssoooooooooooo I leave you with this ............................................ I know that the Pause button is probably the greatest button we will ever be given. However I have yet to realize the full extent of it ... and wont until God presses the Stop button on my life and I go to meet him in heaven. Until then I am MOST thankful for this button that ONLY God has .................... THE ERASE BUTTON !! Regardless of how I have failed ... the mistakes I have made ... or the people I have let down ... I can go in prayer to my heaven father and ask his forgiveness ! And what does he do ? ERASE !! He doesnt just forgive me. He doesnt just say itll be OK. He says that he will cast my sins as far as the east is from the west ..... that he will remember them no more !! This is what he offers us ... not just forgiveness .... but he also offers us forgetfulness !! My prayer for everyone (and for you to whom this was especially written) is that you will realize the full extent of the Erase button and its wonderful gift !!
