Gods Gem Ministry Daily Devotional Monday 20th October 2014 Topic: Total freedom Text: John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed Weve got a total freedom through the finished work of Jesus; The word who became flesh, to dwell among us, just for Him to order our steps and prepare our mind towards the freedom which He latter granted us. Until you understand the word freedom, you will continue to have the mentality of bondage. When someone is granted a bail from the prison, the mind is not yet at rest until the person gets to his/her abode, then the conclusion comes, yea! Im free, but when similar offence comes up the person is first picked as crime suspect, despite the freedom granted. This is different from that of Christ. The freedom Christ gave us is revealed from within, the moment you tap into it. Your mind is placed at rest, giving you assurance that there is therefore no condemnation. The freedom as well rebuilds you, it gives you a new life, removing the stigma of the old. Hence, youre no more an ex convict in the jail of sin, because the record of your sinful nature is cleared off. Dearest, the Son has set you free, walk in this freedom so you wont be arrested as a crime suspect of Sin. Wise up!
