Gods and Goddesses may not have physical bodies, but they most certainly have unique individualized personalities, unique individualized values, and their own particular likes and dislikes. This makes them living beings, just as any lifeform is. Having a physical body or not having a physical body is not the real requirement that determines what is a living being or not, this is actually determined by individualized consciousness and possession of personality, things which all deities have. They are no more perfect than any other form of life, and they most certainly are not unlimited (nothing based on form, even spiritual form, is unlimited) but being that they live within the inner spiritual world, they have a unique connection to this inner reality and by developing a relationship to them we humans can be greatly assisted in our spiritual development. The physical world is a holographic projection from the spiritual world, even modern science has started to come to realize this. By befriending the forms of life of the spiritual world we receive unlimited benefits even while residing in the physical world as material based lifeforms.
