Gods really been working on me, specifically about giving other people grace. I get lots of practice, especially since we get stared out (like, seriously, people) almost everywhere we go together as a family, and always, always at restaurants. Recently, I thought I had decided people were just extremely selfish when they could not control themselves enough to stop looking (gawking) at us, with their need to investigate us without even the decency to inquire with a friendly, polite question. But my husband kindly pointed out that maybe some of these people have just never seen this many children (and especially all one gender) sitting calmly at a table with both their parents and behaving well. Maybe it is much more than the idea of our family being so large. We eat together. We sit together. We talk and laugh and want to be together. To me, its how its supposed to be. But maybe its really foreign to others? Perhaps next time someone seems so curious with their incessant staring, I should walk over, smile, pull up a chair, and tell em to fire away.
