Gods will is that we become believers. There is a major difference - TopicsExpress

Gods will is that we become believers. There is a major difference however from true believers from lip singing believers. Anxieties, sorrows, fear, resentment, hatred, guilt are emotions that reveal who are not the true believers. Having said that, we all begin in same place-Unbelief!! There is a process that God takes us all through that transforms us all from unbelief to belief, in essence transforming us all from living in fears, anxieties, sorrows, resentment, guilt, hatred(Hell) to living in perfect peace and great joy(Heaven). That process can be seen throughout the Word of God from Genesis to Revelation. There is nothing that Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, Elijah, Naomi, Ruth, Hannah, Jonah, all the prophets disciples and Christ went through that you or I should not expect to go through. We will be moved many times from where we are. We will go through extreme hardships. We will go through lack. We will make many mistakes and be hated for them while also being accused of things we never dreamed of doing never mind doing. We will be persecuted. We will be despised. Our earthly lives will be crucified. (not in the literal but all our ambitions and dreams will become nailed one by one). But one thing you should know.. There was not a single choice you made in this process that caused this process. Not a single thing anyone else did which caused this process.. Knowing this immediately frees you from guilt, hatred, and resentment. What you need to see with your own eyes is the constant FAITHFULNESS of GOD throughout the entire process so that you can become freed from the anxieties, fears and sorrows. The end is you found sleeping peacefully in the boat in the middle of a typhoon-meaning Christ-like! Christ-like does not happen in the beginning of the process..it happens at the end.. One thing that should give you great confidence and that is this.. God is not man who shall lie and He said that once He has begun a good work in you He shall finish it to the day of Christ Jesus! You may fall many times in the process, but not a single one of your falls was not preordained by God.. you may ask why would God want me to fall repeatedly? The answer is quite easy-- Unless you fall repeatedly, you will never understand the endless mercies and compassions of God, You will never understand the Love of God which keeps no record of wrongs. You will never understand that God is faithful even when you are unfaithful. You will never really grow in the knowledge of God.. and one who never comes to the knowledge of truth is one who is never delivered from the Hell that is caused by living in the darkness!!
