Godzilla... I absolutely loved it. A new movie on a long established franchise that pays respect to material that came before this. Whod have thunk it?!? The score in the movie is tremendous and is used perfectly in every scene. The pacing of the movie is well done. The acting is great, particularly Bryan Cranston (I know, duh). The panic and terror, specifically the aftermath, of events in the movie brought chills to me I havent had in a little over a decade. From the missing signs to the somber feel of everything. They treat the events very real while still nailing the escapism of what movies like this are. Godzilla looks incredible! Everything about him when hes on screen is commanding. Im still left in total awe of him. They take him very seriously and in a world where fantasy isnt very fantastic in the movies anymore, thats a tall impressive feat. Balancing the giant radioactive lizards totallly unrealistic nature and approaching this as though this could happen is not easy. They nailed it. I dont wanna go to into detail just in case there are some who havent seen it, but go see it!! If youre expecting Pacific Rim, youre going to the wrong movie. Godzilla would destroy everyone and everything in that flick! You will love this!!
