God’s Promises The Bible is filled with Gods promises. Here, we learn that the ultimate fulfillment of all of those promises can be found in Christ, and in His death and resurrection for our sins. – 2 Corinthians 1:20 “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” – 2 Peter 3:9 “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze” – Isaiah 43:2 “The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him” – Nahum 1:7 “Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall” – Psalm 55:22 “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” – Isaiah 41:10 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose” – Romans 8:28 Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the Lord. – Psalm 128:4
