God’s Secret Weapon The Enemy Will Do His best To Stop You My Mother was sitting in the living room watching a soap opera when suddenly she heard a voice call to her saying, ”It is yours if you want it!” She had just read Pat Boon’s book on the gift of the Holy Spirit and so she got up and went into her bedroom and knelt down beside her bed,opened her mouth, and tongues came out instead of English! Soon after beginning to pray in tongues all three of us children were saved and filled with the Holy Spirit! She had been saved for 27 years before this happened. The next morning as she was going to go to church, her car stalled. She had my father fix it and went to church but had missed Sunday School. When she went into the church she attended she got the bulletin and opened it up and the lesson was to be ”Why we do not speak in tongues!” The enemy was going to try and talk her out of her gift but God saw to it that she didn’t make it to Sunday School that day! I had a dream a while back and in the dream my Mother (who has the gift of tongues for speaking in corporate meetings), was in a so called Pentecostal church and a spirit who was dressed in the form of a woman came up behind her and said “Shhhhh!!! We don’t do that here in this church anymore!” It quenched the Holy Spirit immediately in my Mother! I believe that we are living in a day when this gift has been for the most part quenched in the church as a whole but there is now, as in the days of the early church, a great need for it, as you will come to see in this word that I feel like the Lord has given me to share! As I was preparing this message the other night, my computer quit working three times just to show you how much the enemy hates it! It is God’s secret weapon and I am here to tell you why the enemy hates it so much! “For someone speaking in a tongue is not speaking to people but to God, because no one can understand, since he is uttering mysteries in the power of the Spirit” 1 Corinthians 14:13 (AMP). You see, when we pray in the Spirit, we are speaking directly to God and no one but God can hear, and I believe a part of God’s kingdom, His angels who do our bidding do also, as we pray in the Spirit (Psalm 103). So as we speak these mysteries, the enemy cannot hear this communication and therefore does not understand the strategies God is giving to us and to His angels. You see, God (The Holy Spirit) is praying through us at this time and old slew foot hasn’t a clue as to how to stop what is about to happen! ”So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance. And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will” Romans 8:26-27 (AMP). So as we pray in the Spirit we are praying His will and it places all of God’s angels on assignment as His mysteries are being communicated, without Satan and his cohorts being able to understand what His strategies are! It literally drives Him crazy! No wonder he wants to stop the church from using this secret weapon! He wants to shut down communications and stop God’s perfect will from being spoken both in the Spirit realm and in the earth realm! What an amazing weapon God has given to the church! No wonder Satan tries to shut us down! Two Different Works Of Grace In John 20:22 (AMP) it says “And having said this, He breathed on them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit!” This was Jesus speaking to His Disciples but then in Luke 24:49 He said to them “And behold, I will send forth upon you what My Father has promised; but remain in the city [Jerusalem] until you are clothed with power from on high.” These are two different works of grace here. The first was when they were born again and the second was an empowering for ministry and always when this power came the first thing that happened was that they would speak in tongues! This Secret Weapon Brings Us Revelation From God! “Therefore let him who speaks in a tongue pray that he may interpret” 1 Corinthians 14:13. God wants us to know what we are saying or praying in the Spirit and He shares His mysteries with us when we pray in tongues! Time and time again if I need revelation, I will pray in tongues and God will begin to download His mysteries to me as I do. All of the revelation gifts begin to work as we pray in the Spirit! I always say that to me it is like priming a pump as you pray in tongues the revelation (words of wisdom, words of knowledge, prophecy) just begin to bubble up in your Spirit! Suddenly, you know things that you had no knowledge of, suddenly you understand things that you didn’t understand before and suddenly you begin to see pictures that you could not see before! Oh the enemy sure wants to stop this from happening! He Has Stopped The Church By Telling Them That This Isn’t Relevant Today I believe that the reason that this has happened is because when we pray in tongues it gives us power, It gives us strategy, but the enemy has convinced most of the church that it isn’t relevant for today and so they have instead went to “Seeker Friendly” meetings and have stopped even trying to teach about it in their churches! I will never understand why we think that we will have power by doing things our way! I will never understand it. I believe that if we will begin teaching others about this gift and teach them to truly use it in their everyday lives, that we will see the power of God come back into our gatherings! This gift is about to resurface in this time because of the persecution and warfare that we are facing in the world! Our children are facing things that are far more horrible than we ever faced and they need to know about this secret weapon! Get ready to see this begin to be poured out upon us in this hour so that we too can know the mysteries of God and so that we can receive strategies from heaven! If the Apostle Paul needed this then what makes us think that we do not! “Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?” He is yours if you want Him! Tongues are yours if you want them!! 1 Corinthians 14:18 (AMP) “I thank God that I speak in [strange] tongues (languages) more than any of you or all of you put together.”
