God’s Word Today: I havent written a Gods Word Today in quite some time, but in my studies this morning Deut. 3:22, 28, jumped off the page and I sensed God wanted to encourage many of you. In this passage Israel is about to cross the Jordan and go in to possess the promised land. Even though it is a good land, there are still enemies that need to be driven out in order for them to take possession. God speaks to Moses and tells him that he is to say these word to Joshua: “22 Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you.” KJV In vs. 28 God tells him to “charge-appoint” Joshua to lead the children of Israel into their promise, but to also “encourage” and “strengthen” him. 28 But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see . KJV As I looked at vs. 22 the word FIGHT stood out. It is the greek word “Lacham,” which means: to make war, devour, overcome, prevail against. In vs. 28 the word “encourage” was highlighted to me. It is the greek word “Chazaq-khaw-zak” which means: to strengthen, prevail, harden, be strong, become strong, be courageous, be firm, grow firm, be resolute. The Lord says “Im releasing a brand new governing anointing on you. You are stepping into what I’ve promised, and what you’ve waited years to possess. Yes, there will be enemies and opposition, but do not fear them. I am fighting for you. No enemy can stand against you, because I am on your side. I always overcome, devour, and prevail against your enemies. They don’t stand a chance! Stay in faith! I’ve anointed you, and now I’m appointing you. It’s time to be strong, courageous, firm, and resolute. Your wilderness experience was not wasted. I used it to test your faithfulness to me, to show you My faithfulness, and to make you ready. The very reason you can be strong is because I didn’t ask you to fight them alone. I said, I WILL FIGHT FOR YOU. I am your covenant and promise keeping God. The land is yours for the taking. Im giving you GOOD CITIES-REGIONS, homes, and land. Im taking you from just enough, to more than enough. I’m giving back stolen inheritances. I’m making them hand it over to you. It is YOUR inheritance. Be bold. Be courageous. My PRESENCE is with you and Im driving them out before you. GO and possess it!” JESUS I love you all. BE ENCOURAGED, you are about to go through a HUGE TRANSITION. Old things, old ways, and even people you started your journey with will have to be left behind, BUT, the BEST IS YET TO COME! xo
