God’s currency. Mt 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, - TopicsExpress

God’s currency. Mt 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Even hear a sermon on this script? How about this one? Mt 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Lu 16:9 And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations. Lu 16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? Mt 25:9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. Luke 12:19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? Mr 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me. Mt 20:13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? A huge percentage of Jesus’ teaching is dedicated to transferring our thinking in terms of regular currency and converting to God’s currency. Mt 25:21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Here Jesus ties God’s currency to eternal life. At the bottom of the second paragraph, works is introduced as something we get paid for. In truth, works is the primary construct of God’s currency. Every one of these things are things we are to do and have nothing to do with what God is doing. Mr 10:30 But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life. Mt 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? Mt 6:4 That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly. OK, what I have done is establish some of the limits and ground rules of God’s currency. Love your enemies and bless those who curse you speaks to the difficulty of following the rules. The most critical rule of all is not in the bible (it is but you really have to dig to get it). It is no whining when you do something wonderful and the reward does not come right away. The thing that happens is that it is impossible not to have panic attacks if you follow this teaching. What reward do you get if you help those who can pay back? NONE, says Jesus. If you help those who cannot pay you back then Jesus will give you a reward of many times what you have given. But in the meantime people are going to hear about it and call you a fool. Transferring to God’s currency is the hardest things you will ever do. Jesus goes from mint, dill, and cumin (spices ar currency in man’s world) to justice, mercy and faith (some of God’s currency). Any one can give away their house but keeping your mind right during this time is not easy. Spiritual values are worth billions to God and getting them in the heart does not come over night. Once you grasp the concept of God’s currency then it all starts to sound like the same thing for instance “turn the other cheek” becomes very important. Here is a rule that you will need because the panic attacks become so fierce; If I allow myself to be abused then God will reward me. The hardest thing to do is keep your good deeds a secret but this is key. This is not a superhuman construct but at times it seems to be. I am just not coming into this teaching but it gives the teaching of Jesus a practical side; we all work for money and have some very definite ideas about how it works. This is about works and rewards (NO GRACE). Follow me so far? Mt 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Here we see that the two types of currencies are not compatible but that does not mean that the principles are not the same (at least some). Loving money is not the problem as paul says; 1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. No matter how hard you try you can never prove that the love of money is the root of ALL evil. That is just stupid and silly nonsense. Jesus goes to great lengths to establish the concept of money to bring eternal life. Satan does not want you to see that. As you see I have barely touched upon hardly any scripts or developed any arguments since they tend to say exactly what I am saying.
