God’s man, Elisha, was in danger! He had obeyed the voice - TopicsExpress

God’s man, Elisha, was in danger! He had obeyed the voice of God and made the foreign king angry. The king gathered an army and sent his soldiers by night to surround an entire city and trap God’ man. When morning came and Elisha (along with his servant) looked out of the window of their home, they saw angry warriors, horses, and chariots everywhere… Elisha’s servant panicked and cried out, “Oh, master! What will we do?” Elisha said, “Don’t be afraid. They that are with us are far more than they that are with them.” Then he prayed and asked God to open the servant’s eyes. Immediately the servant saw that the surrounding mountains were FULL of horses and chariots of fire that would fight for them! Have you ever felt outnumbered? Does it seem at times that the Enemy has the upper hand? Do you know that helpless feeling that causes you to dread tomorrow? Take a moment to draw from your memory what God has said about protecting you: Psalm 34:7 says “The Angel of the Lord encamps all around those who fear Him and delivers them.” Having such promises in the storehouse of your mind can make the difference between panicking and facing difficulty with the full confidence that the Lord is your Helper. Wouldn’t it be great to have a ready supply of fear-busting verses that you can fall back on in time of need? Well, now you can!
