Going after Caucatto was a really great read. The story took us - TopicsExpress

Going after Caucatto was a really great read. The story took us through endless terrain . It surprised me that they went north I was under the impression they would have gone south through Africa. The characters were bold, the chapters take the time to give each a formal introduction, I think I like that. The plot follows a solider, Caucatto who goes awol. His company follows suite chasing caucatto out of Vietnam and across the European country side until the land in France. Ive read some stories about the war before, about Vietnam. I think the last one I looked at was, a hard rain fell. I cant recall the author. To make a quick comparison I would say both stories were rich in geographic aesthetics, the shape of the land. The dialogue in Caucatto seemed a little bouncy, a little quarky as opposed to a hard rain. It took some time to find the timeing in the grammar. Tim o brian is a great author. I definitely consider reading more of his work. My eye is on Tom cat in love a story about love between two people or the f-14 and ??a-10? Ill have to look it up.. I wish I was a Tom cat...
