Going after Him Scripture John 12:19 So the Pharisees said to one another, See, this is getting us nowhere. Look how the whole world has gone after him! Observation Well actually, it wasnt the whole world that was going after Jesus but His following was increasing. The news of Lazareths miracle had spread around the region and Jews, Greeks and many other people were wanting to speak to and see Jesus. The religious leaders were worried about their own following and were even arranging Lazereths murder. These power brokers had put themselves in the place of God and were prepared to break His commandments to maintain their grip on the people. Even Lazareths astounding miracle did not change their hearts. It is interesting that many today want God to prove Himself by showing a miracle but the truth is, that even when this does happen, hearts are not always changed. When people go after Jesus their needs are met, for some this may mean a physical miracle but for others it may result in the miracle of a changed and transformed heart. It is in following after Jesus that true satisfaction is gained. May we go after Him each day.
