Going down in memory lane on GTV! I dont know how to express this feeling. Scandalized, disappointed, ashamed, stupidified, mummified, etc or what? That is how I will discribe it when the news anchor, Soyokuor announced some old time entertainment programs that were locally produced in Ghana and were on our nations tv, GTV and were the toast of all of us. Talk about Osofo Dadzie, Things we do for Love, By the fire side, Key Soap Concert Party ( for the concert part, there were people coming all the way from Kumasi to Accra to join long queues jux to watch stars like Nkomode, Bishop Bob, Pastor, Evangelist, Professor Okalla, etc). I didnt expect them to go that memory lane, when officials of GTV have gone to bed and reduced our entertainment to those uninspired Gospel songs, telenovelas and outdated programs. Its no longer interesting watching GTV. What happened to our late night foreign movies? ( late nite is now some religious activities when there is a whole station GTV Life that could be devoted to religious Programmes). Well, Ive many choices, I know where to tune in to, to watch my late nite movies. But please, spare us further memory lane if u have nothing to show us.
