Going into saturdays home game against a very experienced Bleanau - TopicsExpress

Going into saturdays home game against a very experienced Bleanau team was always going to be a tough match. We started shakey and found ourselves 1-0 down on ten minutes, and looking stunned however as shown in our previous games we re grouped and fough hard and were soon on level terms and before half time went in 2-1 up. 2nd half was the Gary Jo Owen show the striker playing as a lone man up top terrorised the defence creating chance after chance and soon made it 3-1. With us in control now we pressed to finish the game off but bleanau were never going to lie down and some good play put them through on goal, when their striker mis hit a shot but left Konnor stranded the ball bobbling into the net for 3-2 and pressure back on us. The whole GFC team now fought hard and with 8 minutes left on the clock Gary Jo finished off his hatrick in style to put the game beyond Bleanau. We created a handful of good chances in the last 5 minutes but no further goals. A hard fought battle against a team that will certainly beat anyone on their day.
