Going off line through the Thanksgiving Holiday ... want to remember life Pre-Facebook, LinkedIn, Internet News and all that. Also, get to spend the holiday in Redstone, Colorado with my honey. Gives her a year off from producing the big feast as well be dining at the Redstone Inn for Thanksgiving Dinner. I am full of gratitude for so many, many things in my life. Not least of which are my family, Patrice, Christopher, Arianne, and Bruce, Tamara, Laura, Andrew, Stephanie and Andrew, Anna...ok...its a long list, and my friends, and valued colleagues. For all the relationships that fill this journey with love, laughter and light. I give thanks. For the blessing of meaningful work, I give thanks to all the thinkers, researchers, philosophers, teachers and therapists that came before us in the therapy field. And in particular two family therapists, Dr. Salvador Minuchin and Dr. Sue Johnson who have had the greatest impact on my work. And for the great State of Colorado, where a place like Redstone is a hop, skip and a jump away, for travel, for diversity, and for the adventure of learning, living and growing, I give great thanks. For art, for the privilege of living in safety, outside of war, famine and oppression that so many others must endure and suffer, I give thanks. And for science, innovation, for those who look beyond what is to what might be, I am grateful.
